(Neb.)- Nebraska Boys State Tournaments Starts Today
(Chadrad Sports)- The Nebraska high school boys state basketball tournament will get underway today in Lincoln, but will do so without fans from all 48 teams.
Due to concerns over the coronavirus, the Lincoln/Lancaster County Health department recommended to the Nebraska School Activities Association that games be played with just players, coaches, officials, and immediate family members in attendance.
Two panhandle teams are in the Class B field and will square off in the first round tonight from the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Scottsbluff and Alliance will meet for the 4th time this season at 6:00 pm. The Bearcats are 3-0 in the series this year.
Mullen will square off with O'Neill St. Mary's in Class D-2 at Lincoln East High School at 9:45 this morning. Ogallala is the only other regional team in the tourney field and will play Kearney Catholic at 9:45 this morning at the Devaney Center.
All games will be available to watch for free on the National Federation of High School Sports website at nfhsnetwork.com.
