(Neb.)- Lady Rams Sweep Weekend Games
(Chadrad Sports)- The Crawford girls earned back-to-back wins Thursday and Friday, improving to 6-6 on the year, after defeating Edgemont 54-28 and Lingle-Fort Laramie 62-37.
The Rams held Edgemont to single digits in all four quarters on the way to Thursday’s victory, leading 32-13 at half-time and never looking back. Jasmine Dyer led the Rams with 13 points and pulled down four rebounds. Kylah Vogel and Blake Dodd each netted 11 points. Dodd also had six rebounds and four steals. Skylar Summers grabbed seven rebounds.
Morgan Peterson earned a double-double for Edgemont with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Peyton Ostenson grabbed nine rebounds.
Against LFL Friday, the Rams drained 18 points in the first frame and held LFL to eight. The tide turned in the second, however, with LFL putting together a 14-5 run to make it 23-22 in favor of the Rams at half-time. Crawford came out strong in the third to take a 39-33 advantage into the final eight minutes. Crawford stepped it up again in the fourth quarter with a 23-4 run for the win.
Dodd led the Rams with 12 points and earned a double-double with 11 rebounds. She was followed by Carly Lemmon with 11 points and Skylar Summers with 10.
The Rams play next Jan. 16 at Guernsey-Sunrise before entering Panhandle Conference action Jan. 20-25.
