(Neb)-UPDATE - CSC Men's Basketball Game Now 3 PM Sunday
CHADRON - The Chadron State College men’s basketball game against Presentation College of Aberdeen, S-D, scheduled for Saturday night in the Chicoine Center has been postponed until 3 p.m. Sunday because of the blizzard that hit the the region.
It's the home debut for the Eagles, who are still seeking their first victory of the season.
The Eagles are winless after opening with five games on the road, but have been been in contention in all five - losing once in overtime and by 1 and 2 points in 2 other games.
Turnovers have been a major problem for the Eagles. They’ve committed 118 compared to 75 for their opponents, allowing their foes to take 61 more shots from the field. They're outshooting their opponents 45%-41%, but the additional shots have them being outscored.
Presentation also has been struggling. While the Saints were 21-10 last season, they are just 2-9 this year after losing 102-49 at South Dakota Mines in Rapid City on Friday night.
Presentation had been outscored an average of 91-70 ppg prior to taking on the Hardrockers, and that included beating 0-11 Oak Hills Christian by 67 last Saturday.
The CSC men and women open their Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference schedules next weekend by hosting the Colorado Christian Cougars on Friday Dec 6th and the Regis Rangers on Saturday the 7th. The women’s games will tipoff at 5:30 and the men’s games at 7:30 both nights.
