(Neb.)- Cardinal VB Stays Undefeated, Pelton Takes 4th At Home Golf Invite, SB Shutout By Gering

(Chadrad Sports)- Madee Pelton fired a rain shortened round of 43 at the Chadron Invite on Tuesday to claim 4th, her first top 5 finish of the season.

As storms rolled through the area on Tuesday morning, golfers had to wait through a four hour weather delay at Ridgeview Country Club.  Following the delay, it was decided that rounds would consist of just 9 holes and not the normal 18.

Scottsbluff's Anna Kelly defeated teammate Emily Kryzanowski in a one hole playoff to win the individual championship with a round of 40.  Scottsbluff also won the team title.

Chadron will be in Mitchell on Thursday at the Western Conference Meet.

--- The Chadron High volleyball tallied another sweep last night, taking down Alliance in straight sets 25-12, 25-15, 28-26.

The Lady Cardinals return home for a big match on Thursday against Gering at 7:00 pm at the Bird Cage.

--- Gering's Maddy Wiese sat down 14 Chadron batters by strikeout and helped her own cause with a 2-run homer in the 5th as the Bulldogs beat the Cardinals 4-0 on Tuesday.

Chadron will get a chance to rebound this weekend when they travel to the Scottsbluff tournament.
