(Neb.)- Huskers Prepare For Buffs, Shake Off South Alabama Performance
(Lincoln)- The Nebraska football team spoke to the media on Monday as preparations begin for Colorado. The Huskers offense came up with a more than a lackluster performance in a 35-21 win over South Alabama last Saturday.
Sophomore quarterback Adrian Martinez shouldered most all of the blame for the low output saying, "I would just say the lack of execution on my part and on the offense as a whole. I think that responsibility falls on me, we didn’t have the best week of practice and it showed on the field on Saturday.”
Head Coach Scott Frost also accepted blame for an offense that only scored two touchdowns. "First of all, we have to do a better job as a coaching staff of getting us in the right formations. South Alabama made some changes in the offseason and we got too scheme-y with what we were expecting from them. They did a really good job, so we have to do a better job as a coaching staff.", Frost said.
Nebraska and Colorado meet up at 1:30 on Saturday at Folsom Field in Boulder.
