Baylor (2-0) won a tight first set that featured 15 ties and six lead changes. Baylor took a 19-18 lead before Jaela Zimmerman answered with a kill to knot the score. The rest of the set would be all Baylor, as the Bears ripped off a 6-1 run that featured four kills from All-American Yossiana Pressley. Pressley finished the first set with 10 of BU's 15 kills, hitting .643.

The second set saw the teams exchange sideouts on 17 of the first 18 points. Baylor led 14-13 before a 6-1 run that included three kills by Pressley extended the margin to 20-14. CU answered back as Erica Kostelac contributed two block assists and an ace during a 4-0 Bluejay run to draw within three at 21-18, only to see the teams trade four more sideouts in BU's second straight 25-20 victory.

Creighton led 9-4 early in the third set and maintained a lead until Baylor moved ahead at 19-16 following a 4-0 run. CU would get no closer than two (21-19) the rest of the set, and a tip from Pressley ended the match.

Pressley had 19 kills in 37 swings, hitting .351, overall. Hannah Lockin had 34 assists and 12 digs for Baylor, as well. The Bears had 44 kills, three aces, 46 digs and four blocks on .277 hitting.
