(Neb.)- Hay Springs, Crawford, Sioux County Aiming For State Meet Berths
(Chadrad Sports)- After being moved from Wednesday because of weather conditions, the Class A and D schools will compete in their district track meets today.
Crawford, Hay Springs, and Sioux County are all apart of the D-9 district at Creek Valley.
Crawford's Dennis Vogl is a contender in the 800, 1600, and 3200m runs, while the Rams 4x800m relay team is at the top of the district standings. Sioux County's Tommy Watson is one to watch in the 110m and 300m hurdles and the high jump.
Brodey Planansky of Hay Springs ranks near the top in both the long jump and high jump.
On the girls side, Sioux County and Crawford have athletes at or near the top of every running event or relay. Meanwhile, Hay Springs Jesse Badje enters the meet 2nd in both the 1600 and 3200m run.
