Chadron is a part of the 10 team field at the B-6 meet in Ogallala. Although a relatively young squad, the Lady Cardinals have the potential to put up big numbers today, led by returning state qualifier True Thorne in the shot put and discus.
Freshman Olivia Reed is near the top in the high jump, 200m dash, and 400m dash, and is part of the 4x400m relay that ranks at the top of the district.
Dawn Dunbar and Allie Ferguson in the hurdles, along with Tatum Bailey in the high jump, and the 4x100m relay teams could all contend for spots at state.
On the boys side, Dom Nobiling is looking to return to Omaha Burke Stadium in the 110m hurdles.
Gordon-Rushville is down in Bayard today and will be powered by a pair of girls relay teams. Both the 4x400m and 4x800m relay squads rank near the top in their events, while individually Jayla Brehmer ranks towards the top in the 400m dash.
