(S.D.)- SDHSAA May Delay Addition Of 6-Man Football
(Chadrad Sports)- The executive staff of the South Dakota High School Activities Association has made a recommendation to it's board of directors to delay the addition of 6-man football for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
In a quote from Assistant Executive Director John Krogstrand, a survey was conducted in 2017 with 40 schools showing interest in playing 6-man football, but only a handful had shown a serious commitment to making it happen.
The recommendation includes leaving all classifications as they already are for the next two year cycle.
The board of directors had initially voted in June of 2018 to add a 6-man classification in the state of South Dakota.
