(Neb)-Lady Cards Fall To Sidney 59-39 In Western Conf Semis
(Chadrad Sports)- Sidney used a quartet of 3-pointers in the 2nd quarter to turn a 1-point game an 11- point halftime lead en route to defeating the Chadron girls 56-39 in Friday's Western Conference championship semifinals.
The Lady Cardinals held an early 7-4 lead in the 1st quarter, but that was the largest lead Chadron would see all night.The closest they would get after intermission was 6 at 31-25 in the middle of the 3rd quarter and the Red Raiders just as quickly pulled away again.
Freshman Olivia Reed has now played 2 games for the Cards and has led them in scoring in both, putting 13 against Sidney after netting 11 on Thursday against Alliance.
