LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Running back Nico Evans, place kicker Cooper Rothe and safety Andrew Wingard have earned first team honors on the Mountain West Conference All-Conference football team.
Rothe was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year.
Wingard earned All-Conference honors for the fourth year in a row, and was named First Team All-Mountain West for the third consecutive season.
Evans and Rothe each were honored for the first time in their careers.
Rothe became the first Wyoming player to earn Special Teams Player of the Year since Wyoming became a founding member of the Mountain West when the conference began play in 1999.
Defensive end Carl Granderson was selected to the second team, and cornerback Tyler Hall and linebacker Logan Wilson received honorable mention honors.
