(Neb.)- Huskers Hurt Big Ten Tourney Chances, Fall To Indiana

By: Jeremy Anderson Posted at: 05/14/2018 01:47 PM
(Chadrad Sports)- Nebraska trailed Indiana 8-0 after the top of the fifth and had the winning run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth, but a flyout ended the game in an 8-6 loss to the Hoosiers at Hawks Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Huskers entered the bottom of the ninth trailing 8-5, when they produced a lead of walk, and a pair of singles to bring across a run before Jesse Wilkening hit a fly ball to deep right field that was caught at the wall and ended the game.

The Huskers head to Illinois for their final three-game series of the regular season, starting on Thursday.
