(Neb.)- Huskers Swept By Creighton, First Time Since '92
(Chadrad Sports)- Nebraska baseball fell to Creighton 5-4 on Tuesday night as the Bluejays swept the season series from the Big Red for the first time since 1992.
Creighton scored three runs in the top of the 8th inning, while Nebraska answered with two in the bottom of the frame.
Trailing by a run heading to the bottom of the 9th inning, Nebraska's Jesse Wilkening put one on a rope to the gap in left center field, but was snagged on the run to end any threat the Huskers had and dropped them to 22-24 on the season.
Still in the middle of the mix for the 8th and final spot for the Big Ten Tournament, Nebraska host the Indiana Hoosiers for a three game series starting on Friday.
