(Neb.)- Dual At Pueblo Canceled, Eagles To Attend Rocky Mountain Open
CHADRON, Neb. -- A dual with Colorado State University-Pueblo, scheduled for Saturday evening, February 10, has been canceled due to an overwhelming number of lineup spots without available wrestlers on the Chadron State College roster.
The team will still travel unattached wrestlers, along with healthy and available varsity wrestlers, to Golden, Colorado, for Sunday's Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open meet. The open meet will be held at Steinhauer Fieldhouse on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m., and will run straight through to the finals.
Wrestlers Marcus Hutcherson, Brock Thumm, Joshua Miller, Chase Clasen, Caleb Haskell, Jacob Otuafi, Johnny Porter, Heber Shepherd, Rulon Taylor, and Alex Mai are set to represent CSC, while three other members of the team wrestle unattached.
The open meet will be the final test of the season for the Eagles before the NCAA West Super Regional, February 23-24 in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Chadron State's dual meet with CSU-Pueblo will not be rescheduled this season, but the ThunderWolves will be allowed to host the Eagles in the dual schedule again next year, preserving the home and away rotation.
