(Neb.)- Cardinals Move Win Streak To Four Games

By: Jeremy Anderson Posted at: 01/09/2018 09:13 PM
(Chadron)- The Chadron boys won their fourth straight game on Tuesday, running away from Hemingford late, 60-39.

The Cardinals used their 1-3-1 defense to create havoc early and often, jumping out to an 18-5 lead after the first quarter, and never let Hemingford get any closer than 12 the rest of the way.

Chadron built it's lead to 29-15 at halftime, and grew the margin to 19 late in the 3rd quarter before the Bobcats cut it to 43-28 moving in to the final quarter.

Jeff Cerny scored a season high 18-points for Chadron, who put three players in double figures.  Cooper Heusman added 13 and Coy Bila 11.

The Cards are above .500 for the first time this season at 6-5 and host Alliance on Friday at the Bird Cage with tip off at 7:00 p.m.
