(Neb)-Free Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing Wed Morning In Chadron

CHADRON - A team from Test Nebraska, which offers free drive-thru coronavirus testing, will be in Chadron this morning from 8-till-noon on the west side of Chadron Community Hospital.

      Individuals wanting to be tested are asked to go to testnebraska.com for an online assessment and a testing time.

      Test Nebraska will also offer testing tomorrow in Alliance, in Scottsbluff on Friday and Saturday, and in Sidney on Sunday with hours of 8-till-noon in all 3 cities.

      Meanwhile, Panhandle Unified Command announced 2 more COVID-19 cases yesterday - a Scotts Bluff County man in his 40s listed as a Close Contact with a previous case, and a Cheyenne County woman in her 50s listed as community spread.

    They bring the regional total to 220 including 83 active cases and 135 recoveries with 2 deaths. Both Sioux and Box Butte Counties have 1 active case. 4,340 tests have been given in the Panhandle with a cumulative positivity rate of 5%, 5 active hospitalizations, and 27 cumulative hospitalizations.

       Nebraska Health and Human Services reported 11 more COVID 19 deaths yesterday, bringing the total to 231. There were also 180 new cases for a statewide total of 17,031 out of 142,566 tests.
