(Neb)-maurices Gives $5K COVID-19 Grant To Regional West Medical Center
SCOTTSBLUFF - Regional West Health Services, parent of Regional Medical Center in Scottsbluff, has been selected by women's apparel chain maurices to receive a $5,000 donation in support of healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
maurices, with 900+ stores across the U.S. and Canada, is donating $250,000 rural community hospitals in the areas it serves.
Company President and CEO George Goldfarb says maurices is proud to support local healthcare workers who are on the frontlines treating patients in rural hospitals. He calls them " truly hometown healthcare heroes."
Goldfarb says rural hospitals often don't get the support they need, so maurices hopes its donations will help those hospitals purchase what they need most in the fight against COVID-19 while also showing its employees, customers, and communities they matter to the company.
He also says the company has been in touch with many of the administrators of the hospitals receiving grants who have told maurices the timing for the donation is "perfect."
Regional West President and CEO John Mentgen thanks maurices not only for its generous donation, but also their support of Regional West's healthcare workers as they work tirelessly to provide exceptional care during this unprecedented time.
Mentgen says the maurices donation, along ones from local and area businesses and individuals, are gratefully received.
