(Neb)-Limit For Public Gatherings Now 10 Individuals Listen
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has limited public gatherings to 10 people in an effort to keep the coronavirus from spreading.
Ricketts says he's aligning the state with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which dropped its recommendation from 250 on Friday to 50 on Sunday to 10 this morning.
Ricketts says he understands the 10-person limit will force the cancellation of events statewide and could lead some businesses to close their doors temporary, but emphasizes many businesses can stay open - especially supermarkets.
Ricketts admits the coronavirus is bringing painful economic times and major disruption to people's lives as many hunker down to try to avoid catching the disease.
