CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - For the second time in 4 years, the U-S Air Force is investigating drug use among security forces at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne. The airmen under investigation are currently suspended from duty.

A 2016 investigation of the 90th Security Forces Group saw the Air Force bust a drug ring distributing and using LSD, cocaine and other drugs. This investigation involves using marijuana, prohibited by military rules

The 90th Security Forces Group is responsible for security at not only the base but also 15 missile alert facilities and 150 Minuteman III nuclear missiles across northeast Colorado, the Nebraska Panhandle, and eastern Wyoming.

The drug-related probe prompted General Tim Ray, commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command, to conduct a no-notice leadership call at the Cheyenne base.

Ray said in a release that "When any of us see those not living up to our high standards, we will hold them accountable using all of the disciplinary tools available under the military justice system."
