By: John Axtell Posted at: 01/03/2020 03:46 PM
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -  South Dakota's minimum wage went up 20-cents with the the start of the new year and now sits at $9.30 per hour. Workers who receive tips will see their minimum wage rise to $4.65 per hour.

The increases are part of a voter-approved measure passed in 2014 that immediately raised the minimum wage from $7.25 to $8.50 an hour and provided for regular increases based on the cost of living as measured by the consumer price index.
