(Neb)-Chadron State Foundation Fall Drive Successful
CHADRON - The Chadron State Foundation's annual Fall Fund Drive was another success with the 3-week active phase bringing in pledges of $142,746. The money will support scholarships, improvements to college facilities, and both specific departments and programs.
Foundation development officer and Fall drive coordinator Jake Rissler says some 650 donors were contacted by the roughly 120 volunteers divided into 10 teams from the campus and 10 from the community.
The teams had a good-natured competition based on both donations and increases in gifts from last year. Community co-chairs were Kristina Reeves and Gabby Michna with John Ritzen and Shaunda French-Collins the campus co-chairs.
The 1st-place community team was led by Terri Haynes and included Dave Feddersen, Jessica Sanford, Karen Eisenbarth, and KCSR.KBPY sales associate Mike Kesselring.
Brittany Helmbrecht led the top campus team, which included her husband Alex, Brenda Barry-Schommer, John Murphy, Dawn Brammer, and Lorie Hunn.
Rissler says the Foundation appreciates all of the time and effort of the volunteers, support from participating local businesses, and the CSC Introduction to Public Relations class, which wrote and recorded radio advertisements to assist with publicity.
