By: John Axtell Posted at: 11/25/2019 11:48 AM
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings from 2:00 Monday afternoon until 11:00 Tuesday night for northeastern Colorado, southeastern Wyoming and western Nebraska - including Dawes County.

The weather service says storms through tomorrow afternoon could bring about 15 inches of snow to Cheyenne, 11 inches in Denver. and 5-to-9 inches in the Panhandle where winds gusting up to 30 mph could create major blowing and drifting problems as well as dangerous wind chills.

Meteorologist Kyle Fredin says travel could become nearly impossible across the Interstate 25 urban corridor in northeastern Colorado and into Wyoming. Similar conditions could develop in the Panhandle.

United Airlines announced yesterday it would waive the change fee for re-booking flights scheduled to leave Denver International Airport tomorrow.
