(SD)-Company And Execs Sentenced For Fraud Against OST
RAPID CITY, S.D Executives of an Idaho company that claimed to help schools fund athletic programs have been sentenced for taking thousands of dollars from the Oglala Sioux Tribe and Native groups in Alaska.
All Around Sports LLC, its owner Christopher Hoshaw, and two company supervisors, all from Idaho, were sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court.
Hoshaw was sentenced to one year of home detention, sales manager Calvin Pelichet was given 2 years in federal prison, Kristin DeBoer received 4 months of home detention, and All Around Sports was placed on 4 years of probation.
Hoshaw, Pelichet and the company were also ordered to pay restitution of more than $157,000 to two Alaskan Native entities.
The cases were brought through the Guardians Project, which fights financial crimes against tribes as part of U-S Attorney's office .
