(Neb)-Prison Inmate Being Treated For Medical Condition Dies
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says an inmate at the State Penitentiary in Lincoln died Monday evening at the prison.
The cause of death for 57-year old Amos Loyd has not been determined, but he was being treated for an undisclosed medical condition. Loyd was 13 years into a 20- to 30-year sentence for robbery.
State law requires a grand jury investigation any time someone dies in state custody.
