(Neb)-March Trial Set In Kimball Child Abuse Death
KIMBALL, Neb. (AP) - A March 2nd trial has been scheduled for a Kimball man accused of intentional child abuse in the death of his 7-month-old daughter in March of this year.
Police say 24-year-old Alexander Romero gave them two versions of what happened to his daughter.
In one he said he placed her on a futon when he went to find his phone and she then fell. In the second, he said he'd been "playfully running" with her when he tripped and fell.
Court records show that the doctors who examined the girl told investigators her injuries could not have been caused by an accidental fall.
