ALLIANCE - Six titles were awarded Saturday night at the Best of the West Competition in Alliance, which combined the Miss Chadron, Miss Alliance, Miss Harvest Moon Festival, and Miss Fur Trade Days Festival scholarship pageants plus the companion Outstanding Teen pageant for each.

Crowned as Miss Alliance 2020 was 22-year old Torissa Walker of Omaha with 20-year old Alayna Wilson of Columbus named Miss Harvest Moon Festival. Although 4 titles were available, there were only 4 contestants - too few to award more than just 2 crowns.

The full slate of titles was awarded on the Outstanding Teen level.  Miss Alliance's Outstanding Teen is 16-year old Katelyn Bowers of North Platte, with 16-year old Josephine Dobson of Lincoln Miss Chadron OT, 14-year old Rylie Wright of Hemingford Miss Harvest Moon's OT, and 15-year old Jayden Wetherington of Mitchell Miss Fur Trade Day's OT.

All 6 titleholders advance to their respective state pageants, the Outstanding Teen pageant in Omaha in March and Miss Nebraska in June in North Platte.

Saturday's competition also had audience choice winners with 18-year old Lexie Jackson of Mitchell the selection at the Miss level and 15-year old Hayleigh Hatcher of Scottsbluff for the teens.

Selected by the Teen contestants as Miss Congeniality was 15-year old Haylee Harder of Gering while the choice for the Miss competitors was the new Miss Alliance, Torissa Walker.
