By: John Axtell Posted at: 11/08/2019 09:52 AM
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the two people involved in the single-vehicle rollover accident early Sunday morning north of Oelrichs that left oneof them dead were residents of the Pine Ridge Reservation.

The Highway Patrol says 49-year old Denise Brings Him Back of Oglala died at the scene while her 47-year old husband Brian Brings Him Back suffered minor injuries. Investigators have still not determined which was the driver.
The Patrol says the couple was on Highway 18/385 about a mile north of Oelrichs about 1:15 am when their car crossed the fog line and went onto the shoulder.

The driver lost control and overcorrected with the car swinging back across the north/west-bound lanes and going into the media, where it tipped over.

Denise Brings Him Back was not wearing a seatbelt while Brian Brings Him Back's seatbelt use remains under investigation
