(Neb)-Tickets For Ft Rob Christmas Dinner Go On Sale At 8 AM
CHADRON - Tickets go on sale at 8:00 this morning for the 24th annual Christmas dinner at Fort Robinson State Park, coming up December 7th, and if the historical pattern is repeated all the tickets will be gone by 9:00 - if not earlier.
. Tickets are $30 and because of high demand, there is a limit of four tickets per household. Only 200 tickets will be sold and they're available at only 3 locations - the Fort Robinson office, D&S Market in Harrison, and the Chadron Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center.
The dinner uses a menu served at a Christmas dinner sometime during the park's history as an active military post, which ran from 1874 to 1946.
Chosen this year was 1878, the year the post's name was changed from Camp Robinson to Fort Robinson, meaning it was a permanent facility. The menu includes turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy, pork loin, asparagus, sweet potatoes, rolls and "all the fixings."
