(Neb)-Trout Stocking Underway In Panhandle
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska Game and Parks is stocking rainbow trout from the Rock Creek Fish Hatchery in Dundy County at several lakes and ponds in the Panhandle this week and next. Lakes in other parts of the state will be stocked later as water temperatures cool.
The first trout stocking was taking place today at Morrill with the north pond getting 1,350 trout, the middle pond 450, and the south pond 400.
Tomorrow, Laing Lake in Alliance will get 1,500 trout while 500 will go into the northwest lake at the Bridgeport State Recreation Area with another 900 to be released there next Monday - the same day the Scottsbluff zoo pond will be stocked with 900 trout.
