(SD)-Box Elder Paying City Attorney To Leave; Won't Say Why
BOX ELDER, S.D. (AP) - The Rapid City suburb of Box Elder is paying City Attorney Kristi Vetri $100,000 to resign, but city officials are not disclosing the reason.
Vetri became Box Elder city attorney in April of last year, but the city council approve a resignation payment this summer in July.
The action came during a closed door session and the Rapid City Journal has tried unsuccessfully ever since to obtain a copy of the separation agreement.
The closest the paper has come is getting the minutes of the meeting, which don't disclose the reasons why Box Elder paid Vetri to resign.
