(Neb)-Missing Sioux County Man Found Dead, Foul Play Not Suspected
HARRISON - Searchers on Wednesday found the body of a Sioux County man reported missing by his family Tuesday evening, but Sioux County Sheriff Chad McCumbers says foul play is not suspected in the death of 75-year old Bruce Howell.
Sheriff McCumbers says Howell's body was spotted by the crew of a Nebraska State Patrol helicopter around 11:00 a-m, not far from where his unoccupied vehicle had been found halfway down an embankment off a county road 4 miles north of Henry.
His family reported Howell missing about 5:00 Tuesday afternoon, leading to a brief search that evening and a more intensive one Wednesday that included family, friends, and personnel from a number of agencies.
McCumbers thanks all those who took part including the State Patrol, members of the Scottsbluff, Gering, Mitchell and Morrill Fire Departments, and K-9 units from Goshen County Search and Rescue.
