(Neb)-Immunization Clinic Today Last Chance Before School Starts
CHADRON - With classes starting tomorrow in Chadron and Thursday in Crawford, and with the state requiring all students to have a specific set of vaccinations before being allowed to start the year, Western Community Health Resource is holding one final immunization clinic this afternoon from 1-6:00 at its offices in Chadron
Immunization Coordinator Stephanie Pelton says they're doing their best to make sure all parents have a chance to get their kids in for their needed immunizations.
Pelton says local school and health officials are recommending all students get one immunization not required by the state, Hepatitis A, because it is a higher risk in Dawes County than in most others.
Western Community Health Resources is located in the former Chadron Clinic Building at 3rd and Shelton with parking and entry in the rear.
Also on the start of school front - Chadron has Meet and Greet sessions for parents today from 5-6:00 for the Primary School and 6-7:00 for the Intermediate School.
Chadron begins with half-day sessions this week, Crawford opens tomorrow with a full day of classes, Gordon-Rushville starts school on Thursday, and Sioux County begins a week from tomorrow.
