GERING - The family of 25-year old Chance Englebert of Moorcroft, Wyo - missing since Saturday night in Gering - is again asking for any information people may have on his whereabouts.
Englebert's mother, father, brother, wife, son and others joined law enforcement officials at a news briefing Wednesday afternoon on the 4-day search.
Mother Dawn Englebert, fighting back tears, told the briefing that "Somebody had to see something and know something, this just isn't Chance, he isn't like this." All the members of the family said they miss him and are praying for his safe return.
Meanwhile, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman said the search expanded westward along the North Platte River.
Goshen County Search and Rescue and its search dog worked the Monument Valley Pathway on the north side of the river while boats were used to check out the riverbank in areas that are tough to reach by foot.
Englebert, who grew up in the Edgemont area, was visiting family with his wife and baby when he left the relatives' home about 7:00 Sat night and began walking north on 10th Street.
Gering Police Captain Jason Rogers says the last sighting of him was at 7:51 p.m. when video surveillance captured him walking past the intersection of 10th Street and Martha Drive
Captain Rogers is still asking the public for any information on Englebert's whereabouts, encouraging people to call 308-436-5088 if they have any new information.
