(Neb.)- Heavy Rains Continues To Damage & Close Area Roads
(Chadrad News)- Sioux County officials are reporting heavy damage to River Road between Agate Fossil Beds National Monument and Marsland.
One Sioux County Commissioner told KCSR News that the road has been washed out in several places and urged motorist to use extreme caution if traveling in the area.
Sioux County isn't the only area in the region experiencing issues from recent heavy rains.
According to the South Dakota DOT, Highway 71 between Crawford and Ardmore is closed for the time being due to flooded roadways and an out bridge.
The Nebraska Dept of Roads has issued caution to drivers in Sheridan County traveling Nebraska 250 between Rushville and Lakeside as well as Neb 27 between Gordon and Ellsworth in Sheridan County as both are currently experiencing flooding.
The last few days have produced copious amounts of rain with reports of 2-4" in some places.
