(Neb.)- Crawford Set To Host 4th Of July Celebration
(Chadrad News)- Crawford's 4th of July celebration today got started early with the 5K White River Run/Walk at 7:30. Registration at the Post Playhouse is from 6:15-7:00 am with all registration proceeds going to the Mr. Fireworks fund for the spectacular firework display put on each year after the Old West Trail Rodeo. Entry forms are also available at the Crawford Clipper office or online at crawfordnebraska.info
The annual 4th of July Parade will be at 10:00 with the theme “Never Forget: 100 Years of American Legion,” honoring the centennial of the nation's largest veterans group. It will have its largest group of grand marshals ever – all veterans and active-duty service members.
Our very own Jeremy Anderson and Mike Kesselring will be providing live coverage of the parade on AM 610 KCSR.
After the parade, the celebration moves to City Park with activities from noon till 4:00, hosted by the Crawford American Legion Arch Cullers Post 138 – appropriate not only because of the parade theme, but also because the Legion Hall sits at the entrance to the park.
Wrapping up the 4th of July will be the final session of the PRCA rodeo at the rodeo grounds just west of City Park and the fireworks show almost immediately after the end of the rodeo.
