(Neb)-Hay Springs Couple Arrested After Bag Of Meth Found In Chadron Store
RUSHVILLE - A report of a Chadron business finding a package of methamphetamine on its premises late last month resulted in the arrest of a Hay Springs couple.
44-year old Jorge Barron and 42-year old Shannon Barron are being held in the Sheridan County jail in Rushville on charges that include Distribution of Controlled Substances, Possession of Meth, No Drug Tax Stamp, and Assault on an Officer.
Deputy County Attorney Jamian Simmons says a clerk at the Common Cents convenience store found a package of about 4 ounces of meth lying on the floor on Friday, May 31st.
A review of the store's security video around the time the meth was found led to the issuance of a search warrant request by the WING drug task force and the Chadron police for a Hay Springs residence with the Barrons ultimately arrested
Simmons says officers from the WING Drug Task Force, Chadron Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol and Sheridan County Sheriff's Office all assisted in the investigation and arrests.
