(Neb)-Scottsbluff E.D. Director Reappointed To Tourism Commission
LINCOLN - (KNEB) - Governor Pete Ricketts has reappointed Scottsbluff Economic Development Director Starr Lehl to a second two-year term on the Nebraska Tourism Commission. She represents the commission's District 11, which covers the 11 Panhandle counties.
Lehl is a former mayor of Gering and worked for several years as the western representative for then-governor Mike Johanns and later in a somewhat similar position with the Nebraska Dept of Economic Development.
Lehl told KNEB news she feels it's an honor to be reappointed to the Tourism Commission and is happy she was because her first 2-year appointment wasn't really long enough to build the kind of relationships she wants to be able to spread the word about tourism in the Panhandle.
