(Neb)-Flood/Blizzard Recovery Fundraiser Tonight In Chadron
CHADRON - runk Butte Christian School in Chadron is host a benefit dinner and auction tonight from 5:30-8:30 at the Chadron Arts Center to raise funds for flood and blizzard recovery efforts in Nebrasla through the Salvation Army.
Organizer Jennifer Wallage says the event and a similar one next Thursday in Hot Springs grew out of a desire to help all those impacted by the extreme weather of the past 2 months.
Wallege is grateful to the many people who donated items for the live and silent auctions and even more so to others filling even bigger roles tonight such as the band Razin The Bahr, which is donating its services.
Tickets are available in advance at Security First Bank or at the door. Wallage says the $25 per person cost can be deducted as a charitable contribution to the Salvation Army, who has said all the money raised in Nebraska will remain in Nebraska.
Advanced tickets for next Thursday's dinner-auction in Hot Springs, which will have music by Kim Plender, are available in Hot Springs at Wallage's Mornin' Sunshine Coffee House.
