(SD)-Dakota State University Rebranding Itself
MADISON, S.D. (AP) - Another South Dakota educational institution is rebranding. Dakota State University in Madison is changing its logo to a single "D" surrounded by a hexagon and change its colors from blue and yellow to Trojan blue and gray.
President Jose-Marie Griffiths says the goal is to unite the university under a look and feel that authentically matches "the essence of Dakota State." Griffiths, president since 2015, says the rebranding project took a year of research and planning.
Dakota State is the third educational institution in South Dakota to rebrand in whole or in part in the last month. The University of South Dakota is changing the Sioux Falls University Center into a community college and the Sioux Falls Catholic Schools changed its name to this week Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools this week.
