(Neb)-Slow Progress On Damaged Dawes County Roads Listen
CHADRON - Although the pace is too slow for some residents, Dawes County is making progress on repairing and reopening the more than 30 road segments closed by damage from flooding last month.
County Commissioner Vic Rivera says it's a slow process because some roads that weren't damaged by flooding still suffered damage from the sheer amount of moisture they received in March and April.
Rivera doesn't know how long it will take to reopen any of the closed roads and some sections with culverts or bridges that must be replaced, which could take months.
