(Wyo)-Iowa Administrator Named Goshen Co SD #1 Supt
TORRINGTON, Wyo. -A school administrator from Iowa will be the next superintendent of Goshen County School District #1 in Torrington. Ryan Kramer's contract will begin July 1st. He succeeds Jean Chrostoski, who resigned under fire amid controversy at the end of Christmas break.
Kramer has been superintendent of the West Sioux Community Schools for 3 years and has 20 years as an educator, including a stint as a principal. A Rapid City native whose first teaching job was in Colorado, he and his wife Stacy have 3 children - Jake, Anneke, and Drew.
Goshen County school board chairman Katherine Patrick told KNEB News that Kramer rose to the top of the candidates list because of his commitment to ensuring students have an educational environment conducive to learning.
Patrick says "the nation is becoming quite a bit more aware of the traumas students are experiencing inside and outside the classroom," with Kramer's emphasis on developing relationships and trust between all members of the education community exactly the outlook the Goshen County board wanted.
