(Neb)-Dawes Co Commissioners Say County Roads Still Closed
CHADRON - The Dawes County Commissioners are urging residents to use extreme caution if they have to travel anywhere the next few days, whether during or after the predicted storm.
More than 30 county roads have been closed by damage from the flooding that followed last month's blizzard and Commissioner Jake Stewart says they all remain closed at this time.
Stewart says county crews have been working hard trying to repair washouts and undercuts on the roads while starting the process to repair, reinstall, or replace culverts and bridges that were damaged or washed out. He says those roads won't reopen until they can safely handle normal 2-lane traffic.
