(Neb)-Woman Arrested After Outburst At Chadron Primary School
CHADRON - A Chadron woman was arrested Monday morning following an incident in which she allegedly was banging on the front doors of Chadron Primary School and screaming.
29-year old Claudine Soester faces charges of felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor disturbing the peace. She's being held in the Dawes County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Police Chief Tim Lordino says the dispatch center received multiple 911 calls about 8:30 reporting the incident and that officers made contact with Soester as she was driving away from the school.
Lordino says interviews determined the outburst was directed at Principal Libbie Uhing and that there were no threats toward students or staff, and that the safety of students and staff was not at risk.
Still, he says "this type of conduct is inappropriate at any school facility." He appreciates that school staff followed district policy and immediately notified law enforcement while not allowing Soester in the school.
