(Neb)-Man Arrested In Kimball Sentenced For Wyo Murder
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A 22-year-old Wyoming man arrested in Kimball in late 2017 after killing a 19-year-old Cheyenne man while robbing him of marijuana and cash, then dumping the body in a Cheyenne-area reservoir has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Armando Ramirez-Serna pleaded guilty in October to federal charges of interference with commerce by robbery and use and discharge of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence causing death.
A plea agreement dropped 2 other charges and required Ramirez-Serna to pay over $19,000 in restitution to the family of his victim, Justin Robinson, and to the Wyoming Division of Victims Assistance.
Authorities say Ramirez-Serna killed Robinson in November 2017, dumped his body in a reservoir outside Cheyenne, and burned his SUV. Smoke from the SUV led authorities to the body. Ramirez Serna was arrested about a week later at a Kimball hotel.
