By: John Axtell Posted at: 01/30/2019 12:53 PM
CHADRON - More than 100 students from 7 high schools are at Chadron State College today for the Best of the West Business Invitational
Logistics Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Business Dr Gary Dusek, who also works with the Nebraska Business Development Center, says the competition includes written tests in 8 subjects and a job interview contest for seniors.

Dr Dusek says the competition will follow FBLA - Future Business Leaders of America - rules and will help prepare the students for the FBLA State Leadership Conference April 4-6 in Omaha.

The job interview contest for seniors will be judged by CSC business faculty members Dr. Wendy Waugh, Dr. Richard Koza, Dr. Todd Jamison and Terrie Wood.

CSC students from the MBA program and Phi Beta Lambda, the college arm of FBLA, will assist with the event and participate in a panel discussion to answer questions from the high school students about higher education and the programs CSC offers.

Schools taking part in Best of the West are Alliance, Arthur County, Bridgeport, Chadron, Hay Springs, Hemingford, and Ogallala.
