(Neb)-Brad Aaron Modlin Tonight At CSC
CHADRON - Author Brad Aaron Modlin will present a free public reading tonight at 7:00 in the Sandoz Center Chicoine Atrium at Chadron State College. It's part of the school’s Distinguished Writer Series, sponsored by the English and Humanities program.
Modlin's fulltime job is as an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, where he holds the Reynolds Endowed Chair of Creative Writing.
His most recent book, “Everyone at This Party Has Two Names,” won the Cowles Prize while his collection of short stories, “Surviving the Drought” won “The Cupboard’s Press’” annual contest. His nonfiction has also appeared in a number of publications.
Modlin is the fifth writer to read for the Distinguished Writer Series since 2016. Previous writers include Kent Meyers, Karen Gettert Shoemaker, Frank X Walker, and CSC professor Markus Jones.
