By: John Axtell Posted at: 11/27/2018 06:34 PM
The Graves Lecture Series at Chadron State College wraps up its fall schedule tonight with English professor and author Markus Jones presenting at 7 p.m. in the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center’s Chicoine Atrium. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Jones has titled his talk "What's the Point of Fiction?", which he says will look at what he sees as the reason behind all genres of fiction.

Jones, who will also a short reading, is the author of this year's "How the Butcher Bird Finds Her Voice,” which won in the Multicultural category of the 2018 American Fiction Awards.

It's also been nominated for a 2018 Pushcart Prize and is a finalist for both the 2017 Tillie Olsen Award and the literary category of the American Fiction Awards.
