(Neb)-Neb Lottery Still Looking For Tickets From Cancelled Game
By: John Axtell Posted at: 11/27/2018 06:24 PM LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska Lottery officials are still looking a number of missing tickets from a holiday scratch-off game cancelled in September when it was discovered printing errors had resulted in too many winners and higher than intended prizes.
Lottery spokesman Neil Watson says 405 Holiday Bonus Buck tickets had been sold before the problems were found and only 150 have been returned, leaving 255 still outstanding. Those who send them in by March 24 will receive Lottery scratch coupons in return.
Watson says the tickets that have been returned clearly show the problems that led to the game being cancelled. 80 of the 150 appeared to be winners when they actually weren't while 52 others appeared to have bigger prizes than the actual amounts tied to those tickets.
