(SD)-Two Killed In Separate Sunday Motorcycle Crashes
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Two motorcyclists were killed Sunday in separate crashes in the Black Hills area, but neither name has been released.
The Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff's Office say a biker was killed about 7:45 Sunday night when he collided with a pickup at the intersection of Country Road and Haines Avenue.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead on the scene while the two occupants of the pickup had no significant injuries.
Earlier in the day, a 39-year-old man died about 3:00 p-m after his motorcycle collided with a deer near Sturgis. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the man was southbound on Highway 79 when a deer came onto the highway about 8 miles northeast of Sturgis and the two collided.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his bike when it overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
