(Neb)-Crawford Motel Owner Arrested In Drug Raid Listen
A drug raid Friday morning on the Town Line Motel in Crawford by 30-to-40 officers resulted in 2 arrests. 44-year old James Brady, the motel owner, and 42-year old Shane Nedella, also of Crawford, were taken into custody on multiple drug-related charges and lodged in the Dawes County Jail.
Lt Brian Eads of the Nebraska State Patrol says the WING drug task force, assisted by the State Patrol SWAT team, says search warrants were served on James Brady in conjunction with an on-going investigation.
Eads says the investigation began several months ago after authorities received reports that Brady had been selling drugs. Seized in the raid were approximately 10 grams of heroin, half-an-ounce of cocaine, and several grams of hashish and hash oil.
A hash extraction tube loaded with pressurized butane was rendered safe with the assistance of the Crawford Fire Department.
Eads, promoted last month to Lt to head the Investigative Services Division of the Patrol's Panhandle Troop E, says between 30 and 40 law enforcement officers from WING, the SWAT team, the Dawes County Sheriff's Office, and uniformed State Troopers were involved in the operation at the motel.
